Światowit is inspired by our upbringing back in Poland and Germany, where berries are an important ingredients in many dishes. Picking strawberries on a field in the summer was a family tradition. Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries grow in many backyards. We would make jams and preserves and stash them in the basement for winter. This mead was created honoring our European tradition and the Slavic god Światowit (there are many different spellings of his name) the four-headed Slavic god, representing four dimensions of the Universe and celebrated after the harvest. His symbols include a horse, a sword, and a drinking horn.
