Our Mead making Ninja Tomek was born in Gniezno which lies in central western Poland. We would like to share a few photos of this beautiful town where the first written mead recipe was found.

Tomek learned the art of Mead making at a young age from his Babcia. Today we pay tribute to her by using her process and recipes. In honor of Babcia, we posted the image below, one of the few images that we have of her.

Kvasir's Mead Farm
where we grow some of the ingredients for our Meads. What is important to us is to support local farmers and the local economy. We started working our two acre lot 10 years ago. With two machetes and a bit of liquid courage, we started working the land foot by foot. We cleared the land of invasive species and planted fruit trees, bananas, taro, cassava and a variety of other crops. A decade later, we are stoked to use Babcia's traditional Polish recipes and make this old tradition meet ropical flavors to create something unique and new to the palate. We love creating new flavors and see where the tradition and tropical flavors may take us.
